"Painting is a way of life for me. The painting starts in my head and I select a scene, usually a figure that I place in an imagined or dreamed landscape. I only paint a subject if it touches me.

Colour, gesture and improvisation guide my work. I like to explore and play with different techniques to explain various sensations to the viewer. The paintings move forward, backward, return to the work and stop when I think everything I want to express is already in the work.

I enjoy working in silence. I like figuration in an abstract world, and I am not looking for the exact definition of the figures, but for the reality I perceive. In this reality, colour, light and movement are elements that accompany me."
